Here you will find everything we packed along with us for our trek to Everest Basecamp and back. All we required had to fit into our two backpacks. We also made the last minute decision to not have the girls carry their own little backpack for two reasons. The first was because they would tire easier with the extra weight and the second was because we didn’t want it to be dangling off our pack when they couldn’t continue on with it.
All of our gear has been tried and tested thoroughly over multiple back country trips through varying weather situations. Any links you find are products we feel very passionate about.
All gear can be purchased in Kathmandu to do this trek if you are coming from somewhere and wanted to do this more of a spur of the moment thing. Kids stuff on the other hand, especially small kids, you won’t really find anything. We were able to pick up some fleece pants, fleece-lined wool booties, and synthetic puffy vests for the girls.
Shannon’s pack : Osprey Kyte 36 L
Tyson’s pack : Black Diamond Element 45 L
