BX Press Cidery – October 2019

Multiple suggestions have been made for us to check out the BX Press Cidery & Orchard, and today was the day. This is only a 5 minute drive from our home, and with a rainy day in store, we decided this would be a great place to visit.

Once inside we were greeted by two lovely ladies that were eager to help us out. They offered us two different tasting styles, a flight for $12 which is enjoyed outside under the covered patio, or a tasting of four different ciders for $4.75. Because it was just me drinking and the cooler fall temperatures I chose the indoor tasting. They also have a craft store vending local and unique pieces that you will not find elsewhere.

All of the ciders were delicious so I picked out a few to purchase and we headed outdoors to let the girls run around the orchard as the rain had let up. The girls always go nuts for apples. The two of them wanted to pick them all up off the ground and eat them. Unfortunately, they were in rough shape, but that didn’t stop them from giving them a try. Lidija ended up with a mouthful of mud and Bexley had left a few teeth marks one that was in not too bad a shape.

This will be an awesome place to revisit in the summer when the sun is shining and the day is nice and hot, sit back on the patio, enjoy a flight outside and let the girls run around the orchard; we will definitely be back, and probably with a few friends too.
